Hey guys, Qinhui and I went to the University Scholar's Programme talk in the NUS campus and
I can proudly said that we practically toured the entire NUS campus.
Well, I knew it would be tough finding that single building but never did i imagine it being this difficult..
We ended up taking 3 buses that meanders through the campus and thus covered most of it. Thankfully we
were just 15min late and I didnt really bother about the talk being given anyway.
The programme is not a scholarship at all and other than a free ticket straight into NUS and some interesting modules, there isnt anything else that I feel that is worth it. You have to pay for compulsory lodging and meals too, and the residential area is so inaccessible. It's not that easy to get in anyway with the strong competition
from students of other schools anyway. Oh man, I think I'd started to develop some inferiority complex.
Anyway, I've finally found a job and it starts at 2pm today. It's a telemarketing one. There is this feeling in me that tells me it's going to suck but hopefully it all turns out well. Sometimes when you are not looking for something, it is then they come flocking to you. I was out with my parents for lunch yesterday( before the talk)
and 2 persons called to ask if I'm still available for a job. One of this is Vanessa who WAS recruiting a retail assistant but she totally ignored me for the whole week and finally called me when I already found one. Well, i just hope it will be some fun/ easy job later on. Hope they pay for the dinner break too..
To end this off, my dad just bought an iphone ( with data plan), has an ipad and netbook, but when he just need to do something very simple on the net, he has to use my PC because it's easier and flares up because there are consequences if he presses something wrong. Haha, how can even i argue with him?
